Our Values

At the Stormy Ray Cardholders’ Foundation (SRCF), and Cannalogix Foundation Research Institute, values are not slogans.
They are operational standards—tested over decades and applied consistently in advocacy, research, education, and governance.

These values define how we work, who we protect, and why our impact endures.

Patients First—Always

Patients are not a market segment, a statistic, or a talking point.

They are the reason SRCF exists.

Every position we take, every partnership we enter, and every system we help build is evaluated through a single lens:

Does this protect patient access, dignity, and affordability—now and in the future?

If the answer is no, we do not proceed.

Access With Integrity

We believe access to medical cannabis and plant-based medicine must be:

  • Reliable — not subject to political swings

  • Affordable — not distorted by consolidation or speculation

  • Ethical — not exploitative or predatory

  • Integrated — not isolated from mainstream healthcare

Access that only exists on paper is not access.

Structure Over Noise

SRCF values disciplined execution over volume.

We prioritize:

  • Clear governance

  • Defined authority

  • Measurable outcomes

  • Long-term stewardship

Change that lasts is built quietly, methodically, and with intention.

A single disciplined drip creates more impact than a momentary splash.

Ethics as Infrastructure

Ethics are not optional.
They are foundational.

SRCF maintains clear guardrails between:

  • Advocacy

  • Research

  • Education

  • Commercial interests

This separation protects patients, preserves trust, and ensures our work remains credible—especially as industries evolve.

Independence With Collaboration

We collaborate widely—but we do not compromise our principles.

SRCF values independence from:

  • Corporate capture

  • Short-term political convenience

  • Trend-driven advocacy

At the same time, we believe collective action matters when it is aligned, informed, and patient-centered.

Membership That Multiplies Impact

One of SRCF’s most practical values is efficiency—especially when it comes to advocacy.

SRCF Membership = Automatic CPR Membership

All members of SRCF are automatically members of the Coalition for Patient Rights (CPR).

That means:

  • One contribution

  • Two aligned organizations

  • A unified advocacy voice

However, the reverse is not automatic.

Membership in CPR does not automatically include membership in SRCF.

Why That Matters

By joining SRCF directly, you:

  • Save money by avoiding duplicate memberships

  • Double the value of your contribution

  • Strengthen two organizations at once

  • Amplify your voice across state and national advocacy

In short:
One membership. Two platforms. Greater impact.

SRCF is the structural foundation.
CPR is the coalition amplifier.

Together, they are stronger.

In full disclosure: Stormy Ray Cardholders Foundation, Cannalogix Foundation Research Institute, in partnership with Compassion Center and the Center for Incubation & Findings Research, have been working with Compassion Center’s Office of Accountability & Transparency to develop a Nationally focused framework to achieve full federal descheduling and have been working to do that through the National Coalition for Patient Rights (CPR) since CPR is based in Washington D.C. and CPR directly aligns with the SRCF’s vision, mission and values. Additionally, the Stormy Ray Cardholders Foundation is proud to serve as the lead organization in the National Coalition for Patient Rights Medical Cannabis Caucus, and serves as the lead voice for medical cannabis patients when CPR is representing patients in Legislative Chambers and on Capitol Hill.

Value Without Waste

We respect our members’ resources—financial and otherwise.

That is why SRCF prioritizes:

  • Lean operations, managing almost every aspect of operations through management services contracts, managed and shared corporate infrastructures

  • Shared infrastructure, maintaining our historic office in Ontario, OR while leveraging Compassion Center’s resources in Hillsboro, OR and Las Vegas, NV to lead

  • Strategic alignment, carefully collaborating with those that will add value to the organization’s vision, mission and values, while incubating the next generation

  • Long-term efficiency, creating a culture that puts patients over profits and understands that if one person is taking from another they are taking from all people

Your support goes further because it is designed to.

A Shared Responsibility

Membership is not about perks alone.

It is about stewardship.

By joining SRCF and CPR, you are:

  • Investing in patient protection

  • Supporting ethical research and education

  • Strengthening coordinated advocacy

  • Helping preserve access for future generations

This is how movements endure.

Our Commitment to You

We value:

  • Your trust

  • Your voice

  • Your contribution

And we honor that trust by ensuring your support works harder, longer, and smarter—across organizations that share the same mission at their core.

Join Once. Be Heard Twice.

Becoming a member of SRCF is the most efficient way to support patient-centered advocacy while doubling your reach and your impact.

This is value—measured not in promises, but in outcomes.
